Barbara Borger has stories to tell after 30 years in real estate. And what she wants you to know most of all is that you can’t beat experience. Raised in a family of entertainers, Barbara’s early dreams included performing on Broadway that once challenged her to learn quickly to tap dance—in her basement—in order to earn a place in a local production’s chorus line. Her love of music led to entertaining experiences like surprising her roommates with the arrival of a piano to their tiny apartment and a request from her apartment neighbors that she sing Streisand tunes for them. They had enjoyed hearing her practice!
While Barbara’s road to Broadway was interrupted by another calling as wife and mother, becoming a real estate agent started on a whim when she and a friend—both looking for a career after their children were raised—answered an advertisement for a class on real estate. Twenty weeks later, she had her license and has never looked back.
There’s No Place Like Home
Barbara understands that making major life changes isn’t easy. Her clients know that from start to finish she will be there—through all the complications and rough times—until the final agreement is in place. She values being able to help clients who never thought they’d own a property. The smiles and pride in ownership she witnesses in facilitating a sale motivate her. She recalls a young girl’s delight that her “new” bedroom was already painted in her favorite lavender color.
She has learned never to judge by appearances and tells of a family whose ragged clothing belied their ability to offer a 50% down payment on the price of a home. She is warmed by the depth of appreciation expressed in thank you notes from clients who thank her for going “above and beyond” to help them acquire the home of their dreams.
“There’s no place like home,” Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz realizes. And somehow that knowledge fits Barbara Borger, real estate agent, eager to help her clients find their homes.
While Zuber Realty has re-located to their corporate “home” in Boyertown, Barbara’s connections and relationships with clients—many within the greater Pottstown area—remain “near and dear” to her. And she is just a phone call away!
